Battles Could Break Out at Any Time in Kachin State; Colonel Naw Bu Urges Public to Stay Alert to Military Updates

Colonel Naw Bu has issued a public warning that intense fighting could erupt at any time in areas of Kachin State where the junta is conducting military offensives, including Bhamo, Waingmaw, Hpakant, Indawgyi, Putao, and Naung Mun. He urged local residents to stay alert to military news and exercise caution in their movements and daily activities.

At present, in Kachin State, the military is frequently carrying out ground offensives and aerial bombardments, and clashes between the two sides are occurring regularly. As a result, residents have been warned to travel and live cautiously and to avoid gatherings as much as possible.

Within the two-week period from February 1 to February 14, there were 26 clashes between the two sides in areas including Bhamo, Hpakant, and Waingmaw in Kachin State.

Currently, the junta is not only conducting offensives in Hpakant Township but is also attacking in Bhamo, Waingmaw, and other areas, while continuously reinforcing its troops and weapons supplies.
