Displaced People in Urgent Need of Assistance Due to Strong Storm Winds
Pajau Media April 27, 2026 It is reported that internally displaced persons (IDPs) are in need of assistance after strong storm winds that struck at around 9:00 PM on April 25 caused damage to their shelters in Myitkyina, Namti, and Mogaung towns in Kachin State. Due to the impact of the storm, shelters of IDPs in Myitkyina, Namti, and Mogaung were damaged, and some residential houses of local people also had their roofs blown off.
