NUG Issues Endorsement Requirement for Fuel Transportation

The National Unity Government (NUG) has announced that transporting fuel, including in Kachin, Chin, and Rakhine States will only be permitted if transporters hold an endorsement from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration.

According to NUG, restrictions on fuel transport within areas under its control have caused delays and difficulties among fuel traders.

Fuel traders report that because endorsements from the NUG government must be obtained in stages, transportation often faces extended delays.

Additionally, it is noted that the military junta in Myanmar is currently raising the reference prices of fuel week by week.
