Parliamentary Sessions to Begin in March

The State Administration Council has announced that regional and state parliamentary sessions, including those in Kachin State, will begin on March 20.
In Kachin State, out of 18 townships, elections were held in only 10 townships by the military council. It was announced that the Union Solidarity and Development Party won in all 10 of those townships.
Therefore, winning party representatives from the regions and states have been instructed to submit their reports no later than March 15.
In the Kachin State Parliament, the Union Solidarity and Development Party has secured up to 21 seats, while the military has appointed 11 representatives.
The military council also announced that the first regular sessions of the third-term People’s Assembly, National Assembly, and Regional and State Parliaments, which it will lead, will begin in March.
