It has been reported that the military council carried out airstrikes on Sam Pai Village near Gara Yang Village, Waimaw Township, by dropping bombs from aircraft.

Local residents said that on the night of 2 March, military aircraft carried out at least four bombing runs over Sam Pai Village, resulting in damage to civilian homes.

The bombs reportedly exploded twice at the house of Deacon Zaw Aung in Sam Pai Village and twice near Lai Law Bridge, causing damage to houses and household property. It is reported that there were no civilian casualties.

Currently, displaced people in Sam Pai Village have begun returning and resettling through reconstruction efforts. Despite the absence of fighting in the area, the military council carried out repeated airstrikes and bombings.
