138 Civilians Killed in April Due to Junta Airstrikes, Says NUG

The National Unity Government (NUG)’s Ministry of Human Rights has announced that 138 civilians were killed during April as a result of airstrikes carried out by the military junta.
According to the statement, the junta committed a total of 456 human rights violations during April, including 178 airstrikes, which resulted in the deaths of 138 civilians and injuries to 203 others.
The report also stated that junta airstrikes during April damaged 589 civilian homes, 11 schools, 18 religious buildings, and 7 healthcare facilities across the country.
The Kachin Human Rights Watch (KHRW) stated that the junta must stop deliberately targeting civilians through such attacks.
