Fighting Continues in Shwegu Area

Clashes are reportedly continuing in the Shwegu area, within the territory of KIA Brigade 11 and Battalion 12.

Starting from around 1:00 PM on May 27, clashes broke out between KIA allied forces and junta troops near Mana Lay village along the Mandalay highway road.

During the fighting, junta forces reportedly carried out drone attacks and also launched ground offensives by advancing military columns.

In the Shwegu area, clashes between KIA allied forces and junta troops have been ongoing since early May and continue up to the present time, with military tensions between both sides still remaining high.
