During the battles, the military council carried out attacks using aircraft, drones, and heavy weapons, resulting in significant casualties on both sides.
In particular, in Bhamaw area alone, within the week, there were 20 airstrikes, 17 drone bombings, and more than 428 rounds of heavy artillery shelling. Local residents also reported that in Waimaw–Lamyang, Hka Shi, and Inle areas, the military conducted daily air and drone bombings in addition to ground operations.
A resident from Waimaw said:"From the Lamyang side, they are firing almost every day. There are always people coming and going. Even when we were passing through, we could hear continuous gunfire."
Although there were no direct clashes at times, residents said that the military continued drone attacks. The situation remains tense, while in Hpakant area, since after August 20, military operations have been carried out continuously.
