19 Civilians Killed Within Over 20 Days

Across Myanmar, from April 1 to 21, a total of 19 innocent civilians were killed due to the actions of the armed military junta, according to a statement from the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).


Among the deceased were 8 women and 11 men, totaling 19 victims. Two of them were children under the age of 18, and their identities have been confirmed by name.


The highest number of deaths was recorded in Rakhine State and Mandalay Region, with 5 deaths in each area.


In addition, during the same period, 52 civilian deaths that still require confirmation have been separately documented and are currently being verified.


On April 18, without any armed clashes, the military junta carried out an airstrike on Zarap Gyi village, Taungtha Township, Mandalay Region. The bomb struck and exploded inside a house, killing members of a family: Ko Zaw Win Bo, Ma Mary Htay, and their 7 year old child.
