In Kachin State, a total of 20 clashes occurred within one week across the battlefronts of Bhamaw, Waimaw, and Hpakant, as well as in the territories of KIA Brigades 11 and 8, according to a statement released by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO/KIA).
From April 12 to April 18, SAC forces carried out daily attacks using aircraft, drones, and heavy weapons along the Bhamaw, Waimaw, and Hpakant fronts. Within one week, there were 20 airstrikes, 49 drone bomb attacks, and 163 incidents of heavy weapon shelling.
It was reported that the majority of airstrikes and heavy weapon attacks occurred along the Bhamaw front. Due to advancing SAC military columns, there was one defensive clash near Bhamaw (3 Mile), three clashes near Man Pya Taung on the Waimaw front, and continued ground offensives by SAC forces in Brigade 9 territory in Hpakant, particularly in the Maw Wan area. A total of 17 clashes occurred in Maw Wan Gyi, Mashi Kahtawng, and Seng Kyai villages.
