The 30 ministerial nominees proposed by coup leader Min Aung Hlaing for the formation of a so-called new government have been approved today, April 9, during a session of the Union Parliament, as there were no objections.


On the fifth day of the first regular session of the third Union Parliament, held today, the parliament agreed to appoint the 30 ministers proposed by Min Aung Hlaing, as no objections were raised.


In addition, during the fifth day of the first regular session of the third Kachin State Parliament, the Chief Minister submitted proposals for the ministries and the list of nominees for the new Kachin State government.


Following his selection by the parliament as President, military leader Min Aung Hlaing is making efforts to form a nominal government. It is reported that the President and members of the new government cabinet will take their oaths during the parliamentary session scheduled for tomorrow.
