32 Civilians Killed in Kachin Region During July

Due to violent attacks by armed groups, including the military council, in Kachin State and northern Shan State, a total of 32 civilians were killed within one month, according to a statement released by KHRW- Kachin Human Rights Watch.
These deaths occurred during the month of July and were the result of airstrike bombings, drone attacks, artillery shelling, and gunfire.
Some incidents are as follows-
July 3, In Amai Pon Village, Hpakant Township, Kachin State, a drone attack targeted a monastery, killing one man and one woman, and injuring another 12 people.
July 10 -In Maw Si Zar Village, Hpakant, a man was shot dead in front of the SKY Hotel.
July 30- In Kutkai, northern Shan State, an airstrike targeted the Century Hotel, killing six civilians (including children) and injuring eight others.
July 31-In Maw Si Zar Village, Hpakant Township, an artillery shell explosion killed two children and their mother.
Similarly, the Burmese Women’s Union (BWU) stated that across the whole country in July, violent attacks by the military council caused the deaths of 64 women and injured another 80 women.
