63 Women Killed, 66 Injured During February

Due to violent attacks by the military council, a total of 63 women were killed and 66 others were injured nationwide during the month of February, according to a statement released by the Burmese Women’s Union (BWU). Among those killed were 18 girls under the age of 18 and one pregnant woman.
According to the report, 46 women were killed in airstrikes, 8 were killed by artillery shelling, 7 were unlawfully executed, and 2 died after being hit by gunfire.
Similarly, among those injured, 41 were wounded by airstrikes, 13 by artillery shelling, 10 by landmines, and 2 were victims of sexual violence, the report stated.
It is also reported that throughout 2025, due to military violence across Myanmar, a total of 792 women were killed, including 154 girls under the age of 18 and 5 pregnant women, while 815 others were injured.
