9 Clashes Reported in Kachin Within One Week

A total of 9 clashes occurred within one week across the Bhamaw. Waimaw, and Hpakant frontlines in Kachin State, according to a statement released by the KIA Information and Public Relations Department.


During the week, military council forces carried out daily attacks in the Bhamaw, Waimaw, and Hpakant frontlines using aircraft, drones, and heavy weapons. They conducted more than 17 airstrikes, over 31 drone bomb attacks, and more than 197 heavy artillery shelling incidents. Among these, the highest number of airstrikes and artillery attacks were recorded on the Bhamaw frontline.

Due to offensive operations by the military council, 4 defensive clashes occurred near Man Pyar Taung in Bhamaw, while 5 clashes took place in Brigade 9 territory, Hpakant area, around Mashi Kahtawng.


As military council forces continue their offensive operations on the Bhamaw frontline, clashes are ongoing with KIA joint forces, and the situation remains tense.


Previously, during the second week of March, a total of 53 clashes were reported within one week across the Bhamaw, Waimaw, and Hpakant frontlines, as well as in KIA Brigade 7 areas. In the third week, 5 clashes were also recorded.
