A civilian was fatally shot by militia gunfire in Sar Maw Village, Mohnyin Township

It is reported that a civilian in SarMaw Village, Mohnyin Township, was fatally shot by militia gunfire. According to a local resident of SarMaw, during an argument between two young neighbors residing in SarMaw Ward (6), a militia member named U Myo Thu Aung intervened and fatally shot one of the individuals who was arguing with his nephew.

"A young man named Ko Thar Nge was arguing with the nephew of the militia man U Myo Thu Aung. Consequently, U Myo Thu Aung shot him in the chest, resulting in Ko Thar Nge's immediate death at the scene. It's worth noting that there has been tension between the families of Ko Thar Nge and U Myo Thu Aung from the outset," elucidated the aforementioned woman.

As per local residents, the deceased's body was returned to the family following a post-mortem examination at Mogaung Hospital. Furthermore, the militia member U Myo Thu Aung, who discharged the firearm, was apprehended by the Mogaung (105) Infantry Battalion.

Furthermore, reports indicate that U Myo Thu Aung has been carrying a gun since joining the militia.
