KIA Recaptures Wailaw Military Camp

The Wailaw military camp, located in the area of KIA Brigade No. (2), Battalion No. (14), was fully recaptured yesterday, January 27, by KIA joint forces, according to sources.

The Wailaw camp had previously been seized by KIA joint forces. However, in early January, the area was temporarily abandoned due to a large scale offensive launched by the junta and Min Zay Thant Militia, which involved airstrikes, drone attacks, and heavy artillery shelling.

The camp was completely retaken yesterday through renewed military operations.

Meanwhile, along the Waimaw-Lamyang front, junta forces and allied militia groups have been continuously advancing since January 20, resulting in intense daily fighting that is still ongoing.
