A Person Found Dead Near Tae Gyi Kone Village

In Mohnyin Township, a dead body was found near Tae Gyi Kone village, according to sources. The body was discovered yesterday, August 3, around 1:00 PM. Upon further investigation, it was identified as U Kyaw Thein from Helone village. His identity was only confirmed after the Metta Le Nyin Funeral Assistance Association posted about the unidentified body on their Facebook page, according to a member of the organization.

“At first, when we found the body, we had no idea who it was or where they were from. So we posted it on our Facebook page, and only then did the relatives come forward. Around 1:00 in the afternoon, the body was transported to the general hospital for autopsy,” the person said.

Recently, unidentified dead bodies have been discovered more frequently, and funerals are becoming increasingly difficult to manage under such circumstances. In Mohnyin, there seems to be a rising trend of unclaimed bodies found dead by the roadside. Within just one month, up to three such unclaimed bodies have been found, according to reports.
