Airstrike by Military Council on the Waimaw, Wuyan Area

According to frontline sources, the military council carried out an airstrike around 5:00 p.m. on July 28 in the Waimaw, Wuyan area, and the situation is currently tense with ongoing military activity.

"Around 5 p.m. yesterday, there was an airstrike. It's happening almost daily. When it rains, the aircraft don't come. But there are ground offensives. On days without rain, the aircraft come. Clashes may intensify on this front," said a frontline source.

The military council is conducting both ground offensives and daily air and drone bombings in an intensified effort to recapture the Waimaw, Kanpaiti area, the source continued.

Recently, joint KIA forces have attacked advancing military reinforcements entering Kachin State. However, as of July 29, troops were seen continuing to move from Shwegu toward Bhamo.

Due to the likelihood of intensified clashes across Kachin State, the KIA has warned local civilians to remain cautious and alert.
