Artillery Strike in Rawang Kawng, Sharaw Kha Village, Hpakant Area, 2 Seriously Injured

It has been reported that at around 12:20 p.m. today, August 14, a drone bomb strike occurred in Rawam Kone, located in Sharaw Hka Village, Hpakant area, Kachin State.

“The military council deliberately targeted an area where civilians live with a drone bomb. About five people were injured,” a local eyewitness said.

Those injured in the drone bombing are:

Maung Than Shan Khine, 16 years old

U Win Naing, 52 years old

U Ye Naing, 56 years old

U Htoo Kyaw, 57 years old

U Tin Htut, 50 years old

They suffered various injuries to the waist, thighs, legs, and other parts of the body. Among them, two individuals are said to be in critical condition.

The Hpakant area has frequently come under indiscriminate attack by the military council using heavy artillery, airstrikes, and drone bombs. As a result, many civilians in Hpakant have been killed or injured over time.
