Awng La Nsang and Swedish Fighter Kardestan to Clash in Middleweight Bout This October

Myanmar’s celebrated fighter, widely known as the “Burmese Python”, Awng La Nsang will face Swedish fighter Kardestan in a middleweight bout on October 3 in Bangkok, Thailand, according to an announcement made by ONE Championship.

The event, ONE Fight Night 36, will be held in Bangkok, with Awng La Nsang and Kardestan battling in the middleweight division as a challenge fight.

Aung La Nsang, now 39 years old, has competed in 44 MMA matches throughout his career, securing 30 wins while suffering 14 losses.

His opponent, Kardestan, is 34 years old and has fought in 22 MMA bouts, winning 15 and losing 7.

Based on his contract with ONE Championship, this fight could potentially be Awng La Nsang’s final professional appearance in the cage.

Awng La himself has also mentioned on his official Facebook page that his fight at ONE Fight Night 36 may be his last.

The Kachin native Awng La Nsang last fought on February 20 in Qatar, where he faced Turkish fighter Erdogan and was defeated by knockout.
