BPDF Warns Riverside Residents to Evacuate as Military Military Vessels Arrive in Tigyaing

As military council vessels have now arrived in Tigyaing town, the Bhamo District People's Defense Force (BPDF) issued a warning yesterday urging riverside residents in Bhamo District to immediately relocate as an emergency measure.

The BPDF announced that the arrival of the military vessels could lead to air and naval attacks, as well as battles, and therefore urged civilians not to travel along the riverbanks, hold festivals, or gather in crowds.

They further advised that residents should only return to their homes and resume normal activity once the battleships have fully withdrawn.

It was reported that the vessels which arrived in Tigyaing town yesterday have continued their journey upstream today.

These military vessels have reportedly begun their upstream journey from Mandalay since July 17.
