According to the statement, election campaigning will be permitted from 6:00 a.m. on October 28 until midnight on December 26, and must be carried out in accordance with the provisions set forth in the relevant parliamentary election laws.

The provisions include prohibitions against the misuse of religion for political purposes, and against making speeches, taking actions, or publishing materials intended to cause disunity or discredit the military.

In addition, information such as the location, date, time, and personal details of speakers for any campaign events must be submitted to and approved by the respective commission office.

Currently, the first round of voter lists has been announced as of October 10, although in some areas the announcement period has been extended.

It is also reported that the first phase of the military council’s election will begin on December 28 across 102 townships.
