Civilian Injured in the Head by Junta Drone Bomb, Rushed for Emergency Treatment

A civilian was injured when a junta drone bomb struck near the a teashop between Lone Khin in Hpakant at around 2:30 p.m. on October 3, according to eyewitnesses.The injured person, a man around 40 years old, sustained a head injury caused by shrapnel from the explosion and was rushed to Lone khin Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Residents said that throughout the same day, the junta continuously fired both drone bombs and 40mm artillery shells into the area. One of the shells landed on the main road near Mawtawng village but failed to explode and remains unexploded.

In addition, local sources reported that junta forces also set fire to trucks belonging to the Yadana Moe Myay Company in San Chyoi, Hpakant. Locals in San Chyoi are now warning each other to stay alert as fighting and attacks continue in the area.
