According to sources, clashes between the revolutionary joint forces and the junta’s allied forces are continuing in Banmauk Town, located at the border between Kachin State and Sagaing Region.
It is reported that fighting has been occurring daily as the junta’s allied forces are attempting to regain control of Banmauk Town.
Currently, junta forces are also launching offensives in Banmauk Town as well as in Hti Gyaing, Katha, and Kawlin towns in northern Sagaing Region and Kachin State, resulting in heightened military tensions.
In an effort to recapture Banmauk Town, the junta has repeatedly carried out military offensives since October 2025. Due to aerial bombardments by the military, local homes and religious buildings have been damaged and destroyed by fire.
