Clashes have re erupted in Hpakant area, Kachin State, after hostilities had briefly subsided following the intense fighting on November 10, according to local sources.

Although the fighting had calmed for several days, a resident said that the military continued carrying out daily airstrikes, drone attacks, and heavy artillery shelling.

“The clashes only subsided for a short time, but the military kept conducting airstrikes almost every day,” a local resident from Hpakant said.

On the night of November 25, Y-12 aircraft and drones bombed the area near Yuma Village in Hpakant, damaging several civilian homes.

In addition, drone bombings also hit Kuthe Village in the Lone Khin village tract, destroying the living quarters of the village pastor, a vehicle belonging to the church, and one church lodging building.

Due to the military council’s continuous airstrikes, drone attacks, and artillery shelling from November 10 to 25, at least six civilians have been killed and ten others injured, according to reports.
