Conflict Situation in Kachin State: Clashes and Airstrikes Continue Across Key Areas

In Kachin State, during the one month period of November 2025, a total of four clashes occurred between the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) allied forces and the military junta, and there were up to seven incidents of airstrikes, according to BNI Myanmar Peace Monitor.
The clashes took place in the Bhamaw area, Hpakant area, and Waimaw area. As a result of the fighting, a total of 13 civilians were reported injured or killed.
At the nationwide level, there were 96 incidents of armed clashes, 76 airstrike incidents carried out by the military junta, 55,800 internally displaced persons, 180 civilian deaths, and 336 civilians injured, according to the report.
Fighting between the two sides remains intense in the Bhamaw, Waimaw, and Hpakant areas. Amid the continuing escalation of clashes, the military is reported to be persistently carrying out attacks using aerial bombs and drone bombs.
