The Election Commission announced yesterday, September 16, that individuals residing abroad who are included in the electoral rolls of their respective parliamentary constituencies must cast their votes in advance.

Overseas voters are required to submit Form 15 by October 12 to the relevant Township Sub Election Commission offices. Subsequently, they will be able to cast their advance votes from November 25 to 29 at designated schools, training centers, prisons, and hospitals.

The military appointed commission has previously announced that Part 1 of the election will be held on December 28 in 102 townships. The election will be conducted in three separate parts.

However, revolutionary forces have opposed and condemned the election planned by the military regime. The National Unity Government (NUG) has also urged the public not to participate or cooperate with the process.
