Election Commission Says Voter Turnout in Phase (1) Reached 52.13 Percent; Military Leader Claims Election Successful Due to Over 50 Percent Participation

The Election Commission announced that voter turnout in Phase (1) of the election, which was held on December 28, reached 52.13 percent.
Phase (1) of the election was conducted in 102 townships, and the military leader stated that the election was successful as voter participation exceeded 50 percent.
According to the announcement, out of more than 11.6 million eligible voters in the 102 townships where Phase (1) of the election was held, more than 6,095,116 people cast their votes.
It was further announced that Phase (2) of the election will be held on January 11, 2026, in 100 townships, and Phase (3) will be held on January 25, 2026, in 63 townships.
