Expired Food Items Inspected and Destroyed Within KIO Controlled Areas

In Kachin State, the KIO headquarter is conducting inspections of expired food items for the health and safety of the public within its controlled territories.

These inspection activities are carried out not only by the KIO headquarters but also in other KIA controlled areas across the state. The inspections are regularly conducted twice a year, every six months.

The inspections involve collaborative participation of village administratives, health workers, police officers, and township development committees, who also provide educational awareness to the local people.

After the inspections, expired food items are burned and destroyed. The latest operation took place on September 8 in Battalion No. 1 of Njang Yang Township.
