Although the Bhamaw battle has been ongoing for over 11 months since November, intense fighting continues daily to this day, according to reports.
As of November 7, clashes involving heavy artillery fire and ground assaults were reported near Military Battalion 47 Headquarters, the 3 Mile area, Namhpar, Tarmailone, and around Bhamaw University.
Despite the daily intensity of the battle, there have been no reports of territory being regained by the junta forces, nor have the KIA joint forces lost or withdrawn from the bases they have captured, sources said.
While reports circulated that the fighting in Bhamaw had subsided following meetings between China and the KIO, on the ground, fierce clashes and military engagements continue between both sides.
Since July, the junta has been transporting weapons and reinforcements to Bhamaw via waterways, and following that, it has also carried out attacks using aircraft and drones, forcing the KIA to abandon some of its bases.
