Fighting Continues Inside Bhamaw Town

Fierce fighting continues daily in the battle for Bhamaw, which is being carried out by the Kachin Independence Army, according to reports.

Sources said that clashes are continuing every day as the military council has been carrying out drone strikes, airstrikes, and ground offensives against areas such as Pauk Kone and Kakku Taw wards, where KIA and revolutionary forces are stationed in Bhamaw.

In addition, the military council is reportedly reinforcing troops daily at Military Operations Command (21) by using Y-8 aircraft to transport food supplies and weapons.

The KIA also stated that in Machanbaw Township, around 50 junta troops are conducting military movements toward Naungmon, and clashes could break out at any time.

Moreover, military sources said that after a junta column advancing along the Indaw-Myitkyina road entered Myitkyina on May 12, military activities have increased in Waigmaw Township and northern parts of Myitkyina.
