Fighting in Bhamaw Continues Intensely

It has been reported that the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) Brigade 3 continues to engage in fierce clashes with the military council forces in the Bhamaw area on a daily basis.

The military council launched heavy artillery attacks toward Bhamaa University, Nam Hpa, and Tar Main Lung areas, while also advancing with ground troops. As a result, daily battles have been occurring between KIA joint forces and the junta troops.

Frequent clashes have been reported around the 3 Mile Village and the base of Light Infantry Battalion 47. Although no military camps have been captured yet, both sides remain in a heightened state of military tension.

The military council forces have been using aircraft, drones, and heavy weapons in successive attacks in an effort to reclaim full control over the Bhamaw area, while the KIA joint forces continue to resist and counterattack.

Although some reports claimed that the fighting in Bhamaw had subsided following the recent meeting between the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) and China, the KIO stated that on the ground, clashes remain intense and ongoing.
