Fighting continues to escalate in Bhamo as revolutionary forces launch fierce assaults on the remaining State Administration Council (SAC) bases and occupied areas, according to reports by the Banmaw Scout Team, a local news source covering the region.

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and allied revolutionary forces are still heavily attacking the remaining SAC bases, including Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 47 and Military Operations Command (MOC) 21 in Bhamo.

Additionally, clashes have been reported in areas where regime troops are stationed, including the Bhamo Township Administration Office, City Development Office, Win Light Hotel, Kan Oo Monastery, Basic Education High School (1), Galaxy KTV, and surrounding areas. SAC forces remain heavily deployed in these locations, prompting ongoing offensives.

On the evening of April 27, joint revolutionary forces successfully raided and seized control of the Robert KBC Church compound and the area near Basic Education Middle School (3) in the Kachin Su neighborhood, which had long been occupied by the SAC.

Regime troops who retreated from these bases are reportedly regrouping near Galaxy KTV and along nearby roads.

Due to daily airstrikes, drone attacks, and heavy artillery fire by the SAC, fighting has caused significant destruction in nearby residential areas, particularly in Kachin Su and Minchyan Kone neighborhoods, where many homes have been burned or damaged.

The KIA and allied revolutionary forces resumed their offensive on Bhamo on April 25 after declaring a temporary ceasefire from April 2 to April 22. Today marks the fifth day of renewed attacks.
