It has been reported that the military council carried out consecutive aerial bombings on two hospitals in Mohnyin Township, Kachin State.
On 25 and 26 January, two jet fighter planes from the Tada U Air Force bombed Chaung Wa Hospital and Tonpin Hospital in Mohnyin Township, causing damage to the hospital buildings. In addition, the jet fighters continued bombing areas around Hpakant Town and Indawgyi region.
Currently, the military is conducting ground offensives and airstrikes to regain control of areas and camps held by the resistance forces in Kachin State.
Resistance forces have warned the public to remain more vigilant against aerial attacks, as the military has increasingly carried out air raids across Kachin State and throughout Myanmar during the election period.
