Four-Year Old Girl Missing Nearly a Week in Myitkyina

A four-year old girl, Alice Ja Seng Noi from Ward 1, Shadau Village, Myitkyina, has been missing for nearly a week after being taken by two men, both around 30 years old, on July 19. The family continues to search and remains deeply worried due to a lack of contact or updates.

According to relatives, Alice was living only with her grandmother when the two men, identified as Kachin and Bamar and reportedly friends of the girl’s father, came to the house, claiming her father wanted to see her. After speaking with the family at their home, the men took the girl on a motorcycle, saying they would buy her snacks. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Family members stated it’s been close to a week without any word, and they are doing all they can to find her. Locals add that cases of missing children are increasing in the Myitkyina area, warning parents to be vigilant, especially during this period of political instability and rising child trafficking cases.
