In Myanmar, the reference fuel prices set by the military council, which had previously reached record highs, have now slightly declined, according to reports.
Due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, fuel prices in Myanmar had surged sharply starting from late February, with prices for different fuel types rising from around 2,400 kyats per liter to over 7,000 kyats per liter.
Currently, the fuel prices set by the military council are as follows:
Octane 92 gasoline: 4,515 kyats per liter
Octane 95 gasoline: 4,670 kyats per liter
Diesel: 5,275 kyats per liter
Premium diesel: 6,455 kyats per liter
However, in Myitkyina, Kachin State, fuel prices remain significantly higher, exceeding 14,000 kyats per liter depending on the fuel type.
