Fuel tanker trucks traveling along the Mandalay-Myitkyina highway have been targeted in aerial bombings by the military junta, according to truck drivers.

The attacks reportedly took place at the junction of the Mandalay-Shwebo-Myitkyina road and the road leading to Khin-U town, where the military used jet fighters to carry out airstrikes on fuel tanker trucks, resulting in fires and destruction.

In addition, passenger vehicle convoys on the Myitkyina-Mandalay route have also been bombed from the air by the military, causing damage to vehicles and resulting in civilian casualties, including deaths and injuries among travelers.

As the military continues to deliberately target fuel tanker trucks with aerial attacks, residents are increasingly concerned that fuel shortages may emerge in Kachin State.
