Gold price reaches around 80 lakh kyat per tical

The global gold price continues to rise, and in the domestic gold market, the price has reached around 80 lakh kyat per tical, according to business owners trading gold.

It is known that yesterday, September 9th, at noon, the global gold price set a record at 3,647 US dollars per ounce, marking the highest price in history.

Furthermore, according to Myanmar's external gold market, business owners trading gold stated that 16 carat one tical is being bought and sold at 79 lakh 90 thousand kyat, and 15 carat is being traded at around 75 lakh kyat.

The domestic gold price, which has reached around 80 lakh kyat, is the highest price since June, and it is known that the price has increased by about 3 lakh kyat per tical within a week.

In Myanmar, although the military council's gold entrepreneur associations have set the price for 16 carat one tical at 5,960,000 kyat and directed to trade gold at this set price, it is known that domestic gold shops are not complying.

Domestically, gold prices are seen in two types- the new system gold price and the old system gold price, and it is known that the old system gold price is usually slightly higher than the new system gold price.
