It has been reported by local sources that the homes of civilians displaced by the fighting in Katha Town are being raided.

Currently, clashes are still ongoing in Katha Town, and due to air and heavy weapon strikes by the military junta, local residents are fleeing to safer areas.

In these safe locations where displaced residents are taking shelter, their homes are reportedly being raided, with the perpetrators including both civilians and some military personnel.

Additionally, due to aerial and heavy artillery attacks by the military, the homes of local residents in Katha Town are also being damaged, destroyed, or set on fire.

The battle for Katha Town is reported to involve joint forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), People’s Defense Force (PDF), All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF), People’s Liberation Army (PLA), and the Spring Revolution Alliance (SRA).
