House Fire in Myitkyina Destroys Three Homes and One Car

A fire broke out this morning at around 9:00 AM in Myitkyina’s Myo Thit Gyi Ward, Kachin State, destroying three residential houses and a car, according to local sources.
While the cause of the fire is still unknown, it reportedly began in a row house consisting of three units and subsequently spread to engulf a nearby vehicle and adjacent houses. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
According to data from the Myanmar Fire Services Department, a total of 610 fire incidents occurred across the country in the five-month period from January to May 2025. Most fires were reportedly caused by negligence and electrical faults.
