Intense Offensive and Clashes Ongoing in Bamauk Town

According to sources, intense clashes are ongoing in Bamauk town, which is located on the border between Kachin State and Sagaing Region and is currently held by resistance forces, as the military junta and its allied SNA forces are launching an offensive to retake the town.

The military junta has reportedly been carrying out daily attacks on Bamauk town and surrounding areas using suicide drones, heavy artillery, and airstrikes amid the intense fighting.

At present, fierce direct clashes are continuing in Bamauk town, while the junta is also conducting bombardments with airpower, drones, and heavy weapons. As a result, local civilian homes have reportedly been damaged and burned down.

In an effort to regain control of Bamauk town, which had been seized by resistance forces, the military junta and SNA joint forces have been launching renewed offensive operations since December last year.
