It has been reported that the Military Council is reinforcing troops and conducting continuous offensive operations in areas of Kachin State designated for the upcoming election. Airstrikes, drone attacks, and heavy artillery shelling have intensified clashes across these regions.

In Bhamaw, intense urban fighting has been ongoing since December of last year, and clashes continue daily up to the present. Due to heavy aerial bombardment by the military, some bases held by KIA joint forces have reportedly been lost.

The military has also launched ground and air assaults to retake several major bases previously captured by KIA affiliated forces. Although the KIA had to relinquish control of the No. (366) Artillery Battalion, No. (5014) Armored Battalion, and No. (236) Infantry Battalion after the junta reinforced its troops via waterways in August, the resistance forces managed to recapture these bases in September.

Meanwhile, continuous fighting is ongoing in both the Hpakant and Waimaw regions, where daily civilian casualties have been reported due to indiscriminate aerial bombardment.

On the night of November 25, an airstrike was carried out on Shwe Nyaung Pin village in Waimaw, despite no clashes occurring at the time.

In the Putao-Hkawng Lang Hpu region, joint Local Militia and SAC forces have been carrying out sustained military operations. On November 25, nearly 60 junta troops advanced toward the Hkawng Lang Hpu–Lang Se area, triggering clashes with KIA joint forces, who reportedly captured two junta soldiers.

As the election period planned by the Military Council approaches, the junta is escalating operations to regain and secure contested areas. Currently, regions such as Bhamaw, Hpakant, Waimaw, Putao, and Hkawng Lang Hpu in Kachin State are witnessing intense military activity.
