Three civilians were killed and around 30 people were injured after the Myanmar military carried out two consecutive days of airstrike bombings on the gold mining areas of Maing Ka and Moe Sein Kung villages in Bhamaw Township, Kachin State, according to the Bhamaw Scout Team.
It is reported that the airstrikes were conducted consecutively on November 30 and December 1.
As the airstrike targeted areas near the Ayeyarwady River bank on the western side of Maing Ka village, close to the gold mining sites, the injured and the deceased were transported to Laiza Hospital using emergency ambulances.
It is also reported that since late November, junta forces have resumed ground offensives in Bhamaw Township, Hpakant, and the Waimaw-Lamyang areas in Kachin State.
