The military council has reportedly instructed people not to use the Myitkyina–Shwebo strategic road, according to drivers at the Myitkyina bus terminal.
It is reported that the junta issued the instruction because military operations are planned in order to fully regain control of the Myitkyina–Shwebo strategic road, and travelers were told not to use the route.
However, even before the military issued such instructions, drivers had already stopped using the Myitkyina–Shwebo strategic road and were instead traveling with difficulty through bypass routes.
Currently, due to the military situation in the Indaw area, the Indaw bypass road has also been closed. As a result, outbound vehicles are reportedly stranded in Namsi Awng, while inbound vehicles are stuck in Nyaung Pin Thar village.
