Kachin State Announces Voter Lists in Villages and Wards

It is learned that the first round of voter lists for the Multi Party Democracy General Election in Kachin State have been announced and posted on signboards in various villages and wards.

The voter list announcements have been posted in different wards in Myitkyina City, including Du Kahtawng Ward, Myemyint, Myothitgyi, Tatkone, and other wards. They have also been posted in other towns such as Putao, Bhamaw, and Mohnyin areas.

Furthermore, the voter lists within Bhamaw Township, where intense urban fighting is ongoing, have been posted at the State Election Commission office.The voter lists will be publicly posted from September 30 to October 13 for a period of 14 days. If a voter's name is missing, they must apply using Form (3). If there are errors in the name, registration number, or father's name, corrections must be made using Form (4-G).If unauthorized persons are included in the voter list, objections must be filed using Form (4).

It is also indicated that the first round of the general election by the Election Commission will be held on December 28 in 102 townships.
