KIA Captures Military Council Base on Tanai-Lido Road

KIA joint forces launched an attack and seized a military council outpost stationed on the hilltop cemetery of Lawar-Kumtsai Yang village, located along the Tanai-Lido highway. The joint forces began their assault at 4:00 a.m. and successfully captured the base by 6:00 a.m.

Because the incident occurred on the main Tanai-Lido road, local civilians were traveling as usual, though the road was temporarily closed during the fighting and reopened in the afternoon.

According to local news sources, three military council soldiers were captured during the battle.

Previously, the KIA joint forces had occupied the Kumtsai Yang cemetery hill, but on March 24, 2025, the base was taken by Min Zay Thant led militia forces. The recent operation marks KIA's recapture of this strategic position.
