KIA Destroys Junta Armored Vehicle in Waimaw-Lamyang Battle

In the battle between Waimaw and Lamyang in Kachin State, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) managed to destroy a junta armored vehicle as the military council launched air offensives along with ground attacks using armored units, according to military sources.

On September 10, intense clashes broke out near the LBC Christian Church in Lamyang village, Waimaw area, during which junta forces carried out five aerial bombings, sources reported.

The junta army has been conducting operations in Waimaw area using large numbers of troops, attempting to retake areas captured by joint KIA forces before the upcoming election, resulting in ongoing fierce battles.

Military council units continue to send reinforcements into Kachin State, launching ground offensives while also carrying out relentless air attacks.
