KIA Recaptures Three Military Camps in Bhamaw Area

It has been reported that the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) joint forces have recaptured three military camps in the Bhamaw area, where intense clashes have been taking place.At around 5:30 a.m. on October 9, the KIA joint forces regained control of three military positions located near 2 Mile and 3 Mile villages, where the Myanmar military had been based.

After the joint KIA forces initially seized these three positions, the military launched heavy counterattacks using airstrikes, drones, and artillery, causing the temporary loss of those sites.

However, the KIA joint forces managed to recapture them again this morning. Around 12:00 noon on October 9, the military also carried out two airstrikes on Malang Tung Village in the Hpakant area, reportedly causing casualties.
