KIA Warns Civilians Not to Participate in the Military Council’s Planned Election

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA), through Shwegu K-PDF Battalion, Battalion Headquarters (12), and Brigade (11), has warned the general public not to participate in the election planned by the military council.

The K-PDF stated that it will not take responsibility for any subsequent problems that may arise due to the military council’s election scheduled for December 28.

Regarding matters related to the military council’s election, they cautioned that they will not consider or accept any excuses such as “not knowing” or “not understanding,” and that they will effectively take action as necessary.

It is known that military council forces have been launching offensives and attacks not only in Kachin State but also nationwide to ensure the election can be held.
