KIO Authority Resolves Over 200 Drug-Related Cases and Detains Over 200 Users Within Six Months

According to the KIA News Agency, the KIO, under the leadership of the it's government, has managed to resolve up to 208 drug-related cases within the six-month period of this year in areas under its control.
Under the guidance of the KIO's Anti-Narcotics Committee, a total of 208 cases were addressed, and it is reported that 270 drug users were apprehended.
Among those detained, some have been sentenced to prison terms ranging from a minimum of 7 years to as much as 20 years, and among them, 69 are women.
The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) Headquarters continues its efforts to completely eradicate both drug dealers and users.
Additionally, in June, an announcement was made to close all KTVs and bars in the headquarters region, including Laiza, Mai Ja Yang, and other controlled areas, as part of the anti-narcotics campaign.
